Located inside its signature modernist building designed by renowned architect Edward Larrabee Barnes (who also created New York City’s Lever House), NSU Art Museum houses one-of-a-kind collections that explore artistic expression worldwide from time immemorial to the present day – all within a scenic backdrop overlooking pristine surrounding.

The NSU Art Museum offers something for everyone with its 83,000-square-foot building that contains 25 thousand exhibition spaces and an auditorium seating 256 people. There’s also a museum store where you can purchase unique pieces made by local artists as well as delicious cuisine from The Cafe inside.

NSU Art Museum’s visionary Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater has been at the helm of NSU’s curating program for over three years now. Her goal is to challenge what people think they know about their surroundings through a wide variety of exhibits that will make you question everything around us.

Latin American, African, and other global artworks are on display at NSU Art Museum’s permanent collection. The 7500-piece strong foundation includes works from many female artists as well as those that identify with the black or Latino communities in America; it also has an impressive range of centuries-spanning 19th through 21st centuries dating back to previous eras when these groups weren’t so prevalent yet today’s worldwide society is made up mostly by them.
